Hi Neighbour is a new not for profit organisation founded and led by Yael Stone and based on Dharawal land in the Illawarra. It is focused on supporting the transition from fossil fuels to renewables. Pertinent to an area known as the ‘Coal Coast’, Hi Neighbour’s mission is to work with local community to:

• raise money & lower local emissions through installation of solar on local business rooftops, and,

• funnel financial returns from this into Hi Neighbour Scholarships for local workers to (re)train for technological low carbon jobs.

Hi Neighbour was developed for and with the local community, keeping local jobs for local workers. It is a fresh, smart and practical approach to energy transition that places people and the environment at its centre.

Good Point Design was invited to work with Yael to create a logo and illustrations that could convey the strength and diversity of this community, the potential behind this organisation and the fact that it welcomes anyone who wants to get involved. Mirroring the ethos of Hi Neighbour, the visual language is bright, welcoming and clear.

We worked with the excellent Carly Young to create the Hi Neighbour website, a key communication tool for the organisation.
