Visualising care

Partners: Everymind

Caring can at times be a duty, an offering or an obstacle, and sometimes all of these things at the same time. These illustrations offer visual metaphors for this complexity and nuance of care.

In this project, Good Point Design worked with Everymind to develop illustrations that are evocative of the language used by people who care for individuals experiencing depression and/or anxiety, about caring relationships.

The illustrations represent the five emerging themes identified in the research:

  • caring as a duty,

  • loved ones as reluctant to seek help,

  • relationships as impacted by care,

  • the importance of self-care, and,

  • caring as detrimental to one’s health.

These illustrations were used to support a presentation on this research and the development of an online program for carers.
