NSW Youth Justice Co-Design Framework
Partners: NSW Youth Justice, Mawang Consulting, Beyond Sticky Notes
co-design to create better outcomes, strengthen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership and step towards self-determination
This document provides a framework for co-design and co-production with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, families, communities, and Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations across NSW. The framework draws on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, and long histories of working together, to build on co-design as a “practice of sharing power”.
This framework was created with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff across Youth Justice guided by KA McKercher from Beyond Sticky Notes and Jessie Robinson of Mawang Consulting. Good Point Design was invited to bring the team’s work to life with a simple, evocative visual language.
